Share these crazy GBP stats with your local SEO clients
to make them listen to you
Here are 5 stats from the new GBP Playbooks that will make your local SEO clients listen to you 👇️
1. In one study, by adding Google Posts to their GBP, Crate & Barrel saw a +31% increase in Google Map Views, a +6% increase in Google Search Views, increased foot traffic and increased conversions.
So, the next time I post about the value of Google Posts, I don’t want to get a single comment saying that Posts are a waste of time 🤫
2. 50% of customers look for promotions or discounts when searching for a business online.
Again, Google Posts are your best friend here.
3. 67% of people prefer communicating by messaging a business to a call or email.
Makes sense why Google is testing a “Text message” button in the local results. Make sure to make yourself available on messaging platforms like WhatsApp, people (60% said WhatsApp is their preferred chat platform to interact with a store)!
4. 77% of consumers expect to be able to book services online.
It’s really worth it to get that Booking button on your GBP.
5. 65% of consumers say they are more likely to choose a business that responds to reviews.
Yes, I know, reviews scary. But responding professionally to all reviews - positive AND negative - shows searchers you care about your customers and the quality of your products/services.
You can find more of these stats in Miriam Ellis’s new blog post about Google’s Business Profile playbooks.
In it, she also summarizes Google’s own GBP optimization advice and shares her top takeaways from the playbooks.
